I’m so glad you’re here and I look forward to meeting you. I’m Jennifer Hughes, a family photographer in Alexandria, Virginia. My desire is to capture your trueness whether through family, maternity, seniors, couples, or newborn sessions.
Get to Know Me
I am a boy mom first and foremost. I love being outdoors, reading a good book, walking our dog, watching kid sports, listening to music, and I’m a lifelong learner and beginner in all sorts of things. I have a desire for deep connection with others and I love capturing that connection in images.
As a child of the 80's, we had these 35mm disposable cameras that took about 24 photos and required being sent off to get the photos developed. Photography sure has changed over the years! Looking back, what I loved most was watching faces light up as they looked at a moment in time that I captured for them. The joy on their face or the out-loud laughter that ensued as they recalled that memory made me want to capture more, and more, and more. Today, this still holds true. I love the feeling of capturing a moment in time that will forever bring a smile or warm memory. This is why I love being a photographer!
I am based in Alexandria, VA, but I love to travel so don’t be afraid to reach out.

30 minute session for up to 5 people at a selected location. Includes 10 hand edited high-resolution images for download and personal use and print.
Maternity and Newborn Combo: $795 (includes tax)
30 minute maternity session at a selected location. One hour newborn session. Includes 20 hand edited high-resolution images for download and personal use and print.
Video Add-on: $695 (includes tax)
2-5 minute short film that captures the beauty of your family loving on each other. This option can be added on to any session.
